Supreme Cuts Feeds the Community

 Euri Jenkins, Owner of Supreme Cuts, is giving back to the community. Euri and the staff at Supreme Cuts will be hosting a Community Christmas dinner for residents in the city of Riviera Beach. He has also adopted three families that will receive Christmas gifts from a toy drive being conducted at Supreme Cuts. This event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at 1:00pm at Supreme Cuts located at 2937 Broadway, Riviera Beach, Fl 33404.

When asked about the area chosen, Mr. Jenkins stated that he wants to assist in giving back to one of the communities that needs it the most; he went on to say that the families that reside in close proximity of Supreme Cuts are typically minorities with lower household incomes. Mr. Jenkins further stated that he grew up in a single family, low-income household and would like to give back to similar families to help them enjoy their Christmas holiday. In providing a free Christmas meal to the community, Mr. Jenkins believes that he can help rebuild the community, feed those that are in need and make a positive difference in their lives.

Supreme Cuts is a non-traditional salon and barbershop specializing in unique hair cutting and design, coloring and extensions for all hair types. At Supreme Cuts, there is a diverse group of staff that can work with any type of hair. “A Supreme Cut is far from ordinary.”

Happy Birthday MQ

Today is my Brother's birthday and I just want to let you know that I love you more than I can find the words to describe. I remember so sad that I was no longer going to be "the only child." God knew what he was doing when he made you and he knew what he was doing when he made you my Brother.  I am so very proud of you and all of your accomplishments. Only God knows how long this road has been BUT the best is yet to come. Keep your eyes on the Lord and focus on your focus (as I tell you all the time) and everything will be fine. Supreme Cuts is a new Salon and Barbershop located in downtown West Palm Beach. The set up and the environment is very welcoming. This new salon and barbershop is a family friendly shop and for that reason, I love it. There is something for everyone; Mom, Dad and children. Even the dog can be walked directly across the street amongst the other adorable dogs in the area.

Supreme Cuts has professional Barbers and Hair Stylists ready to provide you with outstanding service Tuesday-Thursday, 9am-7pm and Friday & Saturday 9am-9pm.

There are several other salons in the area; however, those salons don't specialize in all hair types. The staff at Supreme Cuts are licensed and experienced in performing services for all hair types.

Supreme Cuts is located at 410 Evernia St., Loft #114, West Palm Beach, Fl 33401, on the first level of The Whitney building. They are two block east of City Place and two blocks south of the popular Clematis Street.

I see small businesses opening and closing so regularly and it breaks my heart. Running a small business isn't easy and I surely hope this is one that will be around for ages that the owners will be able to leave for their children and their children's children. ;-)

BREAKING NEWS: Usher's Son Rushed to Hospital

Usher's son, Usher Raymond V, was rushed to the hospital in Atlanta, GA. Sources say that the entertainer's son accidentally fell in a pool and got stuck in the drain. He was found by someone doing construction who pulled him out and started performing mouth to mouth on him while the paramedics were in route. I've heard so many different stories as to what really happened; nonetheless, I pray that this little boy will be okay.

Last week I started watching this series and loved it. Where have I been? I saw the commercials a few times, but never actually watched it until last week when I couldn't sleep and a lot of the previous episodes aired. I really loved it! These types of stories go on in real life and I could relate to some of the cast members. Tonight is a new episode on the OWN channel at 9pmEST.

What do you think about the relationship between Candice and her mom? What about the marriage with the Judge and his wife (haven't learned their names yet)? I'm gonna be tuned in tonight and ready to see what's going to go on. Got popcorn?

Your Dreams

Your dreams are your dreams and that's okay. Did you know that God's dreams are not your dreams and his dreams for YOUR life are usually bigger than yours?

On Friday night, I was bored. I started digging in my storage looking for old pictures that I captured of clients when I used to do hair. Yes! I used to do hair in high school and college. I didn't find any of the pictures but I stumbled across my senior memory book. There was a place titled "Dreams & Goals." As I read that section, I was smiling but shocked at the same time. I'm a very ambitious person and I couldn't believe that I didn't/did accomplish those goals that I had listed. I know that God has something better for me. I don't know what THAT may be but I know it's better.

Trying not to sneeze from the dust, the page read, "I want to be an entrepreneur Cosmetologist doing hair AND nails in my own hair salon. The car I will own is an Acura, I will own a three bedroom home and marry and have ONE child. I'm literally laughing out loud. I didn't get an Acura (Yet anyway) Not sure if I even want an Acura anymore. I didn't go to school for Cosmetology. I ended up getting a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and a Master's in Social Work (neither am I using right now nor do I have the desire to do so.) I am an entrepreneur but unsure on my direction. I am married with not ONE but TWO beautiful and smart children.

See!!! God blessed me abundantly. His dreams for me were/are bigger than my own. What I'm trying to figure out now is what road to take; do I go left or right. Prior to me reading that page in my senior memory book, I told my husband I was considering going to hair school BUT I'm not sure what I want to do. I stopped doing hair a long time ago because I wasn't passionate about it. I also stopped doing social work because I started feeling overwhelmed and burned out.

God's dreams for me are bigger than my own and all I can do is pray for his direction and understanding. If anyone is reading this and may be in the same boat, my suggestion is to pray. God knows better than you/I do. Love you lots!!!

Finding Your Niche

Have you ever felt like you don't know what it is you want to do, career wise? Have you found yourself doing things just to make money? I think that's where I am right now. I'm finding my niche. Have you found yours?

Karma

When I speak, I speak from the heart. That's the only thing I know to do. I want to talk about Karma. According to Dictionary.com, karma is defined as action seen as bringing upon oneself inevitable results, good or bad, either in this life or in a reincarnation: in Hinduism one of the means of reaching Brahman. I'm going somewhere with this. For legal purposes I can't share any names but if you get it, you get it. :) More after the break.

It's Saturday!!!

How are you spending your Saturday? Me and the kids are gonna go out for ice cream and do a little shopping. It's a nice day to do something so we're not staying in the house all day.

Saturday is always a good day to run errands, catch a matinee movie, do a little shopping and if you plan on staying home, doing chores around the house are good for Saturdays also.

If I Had My Way

If I had my way, I know I would be in a different situation. A different place. A different....I guess I've been infatuated with what I see on the outside, not knowing what's going on inside. The very thing we want is that same thing that may not be good for us. What looks good isn't always good. I remember a time where I wanted this certain thing. I mean I wanted this really bad. I used to fantasize about it. I would fantasize about what it would be like if....how would I feel if....what would I wear when....what would I say if asked....I feel like I was obsessed with THAT. Take Back Your Life

It's 2013!!! It's the year of favor, blessings and success stories. It's time to take back your life. It's time to start working on the things you have asked God for. God will not hand you anything but he will open doors for you to be in a position to get what you asked for. He wants to know that you're willing to work for what you want and not just wait on or expect a handout.

I'm taking back my life starting today. Everything that the enemy meant for my bad, I'm turning in to my good. I'm focusing on me, loving me, putting me first...PERIOD.

Don't invite yourself to a pity party. Get up, move and GET IT!!! It's the year to do something; do something you've never done, do something different, just do something.

God didn't intend for us to live mediocre lives so don't do it. I repeat, don't do it!!! You still have nine more months to accomplish some things. Let's go! DO WORK!!!
