Memorial Day

Did you know Memorial Day was originally called Decoration Day? In case you didn't know, Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. Some people celebrate the fact that they have a long weekend, some people associate Memorial Day with partying like Rock Stars on South Beach. It's more to Memorial Day than that. Originally, Memorial Day was celebrated in remembrance of soldiers fighting in the Civil War. Years later, Memorial Day began to be celebrated in remembrance of soldiers who fought in any war. Hats off to all soldiers!
