Been Gone BUT I'm Back

Been gone for a while but I'm back. Sorry for the wait. (In Lil Wayne's voice). How have you been? I've been busy. I haven't mentioned it here but I'm sure most of you know. I opened a clothing boutique for women. Yay me! It's called M2 Boutique...pronounced M Squared. It's been a very busy few months for me. Clink the link to find out more of what's been going on.

God Has Spoken

I attended an appreciation brunch today at The Beauty Boudoir with other Christian women. A question was asked, "What stops you from being your best with God?" My answer, "my finances." Before I started this whole entrepreneurship thing, I was the lender and not the borrower. I provided for my family with no problems. I felt like I was sitting on top of the world. I trusted and believed in God but not how I do now. My finances have gotten in the way of me being my best as God wants me to be. I trust him but I still worry. Worrying is for nonbelievers. One of the owners at The Beauty Boudoir is so amazing. She inspires me and I just love her to pieces. Her name is Charisma Kendrick-Adams.

First and foremost, I would like to say hello to all my Readers. Yeah, I know. It's been a minute. In Lil Wayne's voice, sorry for the wait.

Lay your own Foundation

This is more for the ladies. Lay your own Foundation.

My grandmother was a homeowner at the age of 17. Her home telephone is still the same from the time she purchased that home until now. I lived with my grandmother until I went to college at 17 years old. Never did I have to see my grandmother depend on a man for anything. Growing up, my grandmother taught me well. She was the best teacher I had. Sometimes I didn't always listen but it all makes sense now. She always told me, "Makeva, lay your own foundation." She taught me to always be able to hold my own whether a man was in the picture or not. She always said own your own home or have your apartment in your name and in the event you decided to get married or your boyfriend moved in with you, make sure your foundation was laid; therefore, he could never put you out and if he decided to walk out on you, you had your own bank account with your own money, you had your own job and you didn't have to depend on him and things would still be "normal" in your house when the man was gone.

Though my grandmoter wasn't all that spiritual, we went to church occasionally and I've learned to always keep my faith in God. Man will always let you down. God is always with us even when we feel that we're all alone. God will never let us down. I'm a living witness that God is a provider and always hears my prayers. Trust in God, believe that he will  always answer your prayers and he will always be with you. I know it's easier said than done but trust him, he will never let you down. We all deal with things that really hurt us, make us cry, and make us wonder why. Remember, God has a plan for you and I. He will work all things out that you're going through but you have to pray to him. He will turn all bad things into good. He wants to have a relationship with you, he loves you. He's waiting to hear from you.

I would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to all those that have supported me along my journey thus far. I know sometimes you don't know it's the small things that you do for me that I really appreciate. Yesterday, I didn't have any money to eat at work and when one of my friends invited me to lunch and he paid, I was very appreciative. I said thank you about five times. I want you all to know that you touch me in different ways. Whether it has been giving me or lending me money, a donation to my foundation, a text telling me to read a certain Bible scripture, an email with a quote of the day, helping me upgrade my blog, a phone call to check on me, doing my hair for free, cutting my brother's hair for free, taking my brother to complete community service hours, referring my companies to other individuals, this truly means a lot to me. I can go on and on about the things you all have done for me. I can't say thank you enough.

I am so glad that God has blessed me with friends and family that really care and support me in all that I do. I know a lot of you also look up to me for motivation and inspiration but I need to hear it from others too. I've come a long way; however, I still have quite a ways to go. I know God is taking care of me. I'm always sowing seeds in others' lives so I know God is gonna give it all back to me 100 fold. No I don't do the things I do because I look for something in return, I do things because I find it in my heart to help people in any way that I can because God has continued to keep me. I'm glad you all see the bigger picture in my life and are helping me get where I'm going and are continuing to help me as I work my way up. Most of you helping me are also working your way up and we're building on each other. *Screaming* AHHHHH.....you all don't know how much you mean to me and how I appreciate all of you. You can hold me to this or you don't have to but I'm gonna continue being a blessing to you and when I blow up, I'm coming back for you so get ready. My blessings are gonna overtake me and it's gonna be more than I can receive so of course it's gonna overflow into your lives. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You and....I Love You all!
